West Loop Lofts Photography & Vintage Art in Harmony
West Loop Lofts is a modern apartment community in the heart of Chicago’s West Loop, housed in a historic structure that once served as the Near West Side YMCA/YWCA. The building maintains many of its original architectural details—including a preserved basketball court and exposed brick—offering residents a living experience that feels both contemporary and rooted in history.
To complement the building’s character, a curated art program features a combination of Tim Klein’s original photography and a selection of vintage photographs and artwork. The collection includes a paneled wall covering in the main entrance and a large wall covering in the lobby, framed artwork throughout the hallways, and a “secret room” gallery that surprises and delights.
Klein’s imagery—ranging from still lifes to landscapes and equestrian themes—blends seamlessly with the archival pieces, creating a layered visual language that celebrates both past and present. The result is an environment that feels personal, storied, and intentional.
Situated steps from top restaurants, galleries, and transit, West Loop Lofts invites residents to live at the intersection of culture, comfort, and creativity—where art plays a central role in daily life.
