Mid Century Uptown Custom Artwork & DESIGN

The Mid Century Uptown Project transforms a 1950s office building into sleek apartments inspired by mid-century modern design. For this project, Tim Klein traveled to Vietnam’s vibrant regions to create custom photographic content that deeply connects to Chicago’s Little Vietnam neighborhood, where the building is located. His abstract overlay designs blend traditional Vietnamese cultural elements with classic Chicago style, creating a unique, cohesive graphic theme throughout the property.

More than 550 hallway pieces showcase this marriage of cultures with a contemporary twist, adding depth and character to the living spaces. The artwork not only honors the neighborhood’s heritage but also complements the building’s modern architectural direction. Tim’s thoughtful art direction and authentic images help create a rich visual narrative that resonates with residents and visitors alike. This custom art collection enhances the Mid Century Uptown Project by celebrating community identity through sophisticated design and cultural storytelling.
