Bridgeview Bank Photography Installation | Uptown, Chicago

Tim Klein curated a seasonal collection of Lake Michigan photography for Bridgeview Bank, located in the heart of Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood. Drawing from his archive, Klein selected images that capture the lake’s evolving beauty across all four seasons—winter, spring, summer, and fall. The collection highlights the textures, colors, and moods of the waterfront, bringing a sense of place and natural rhythm to the building’s historic interior.

Bridgeview Bank is one of Uptown’s most iconic architectural landmarks. Built in 1925, the former bank has been transformed into a mixed-use destination that blends classical detail with modern functionality. The building now includes 176 residential units, commercial offices, and a large WeWork space occupying the original grand hall and mezzanine level.

Klein’s photographs were selected to complement the historic character of the space while reinforcing its strong connection to the local environment. The collection creates a subtle visual dialogue between the building’s classical architecture and the natural beauty of Lake Michigan just blocks away.

This installation marks a meaningful intersection of Chicago history, adaptive reuse, and contemporary art—enhancing a landmark property with imagery that reflects the city’s seasonal changes and enduring relationship with the lake.
